Final Project: Monogram (sketches)

For our final project, we are required to design a monogram and place them on 6 different items.

We first had to come up with many small sketches of designs for our monogram.

After we have shown the designs to Mr Choy, he gave us feedback and we had to choose 2 which we liked the most and make different variations of them

In the end, I decided to go for this monogram which is actually a design I developed in my Printmaking class in Semester 1 but I tweaked it slightly and developed it further. Then I started thinking about what items to put my monogram on and roughly sketching them out.

I tested it out on a couple of phone cases just to see how I liked my monogram design. I used black sharpie and a white paint marker.

Photographs: Appropriate attire for a job interview

Appropriate attire for job interview:
  • Neat hair
  • Covered flats
  • Button-up shirt
  • Long pants

Inappropriate attire for job interview:
  • Shorts
  • Sneakers
  • Casual T-shirt

Even Though in the Design field, there is more room for flexibility in the way you dress, you must still look presentable and professional but not too formal such as a white collared shirt and tie. However you also must not be too casual with shorts and a t-shirt as it gives and impression that you did not make an effort to dress up.

Assignment: Tioman Postcard (Group Work)

Group Members: Madina, Guru and Myself

The postcards we got!
Mine:                                                           Madina's:

Sketchbook:

Scenes from Tioman:

 The Idea for the postcard:
So since we had 3 people in a group I wanted to think of a way we can show our individual styles so I thought of a postcard which can split into 3 but come together as one postcard which shows one scenery. Individually, each scene tells it's own story or memory we had in Tioman but when it is put together, it forms one scenery which symbolises that we each have our own memories and point of view of Tioman but when we come together, we make memories together.

Final Assignments: Blue Poster

When I think about the colour blue, I think of water. It is something we can't live without. We can go 3 days without eating food but only 24 hours without drinking water. About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth's water. But water also exists in the air as water vapor, in rivers and lakes, in icecaps and glaciers, in the ground as soil moisture and in aquifers, and even in you and your dog. Water is everywhere.
